Before the spring ultimate frisbee league of 2011 a survey was conducted in an effort to improve future leagues. The survey aimed to investigate the effects of offering co-ed ultimate during the spring and to figure out how to get more women to play. The survey was sent to all women who played fall or spring league in 2010. You can find the original survey here.
223 women played in spring league and 61 of them played in both leagues.
125 women responded to the survey which is about 56% of the total who played.
11 of the women who said they'd play in the recreational league next year said they would play friday co-ed instead if it was offered.
Their average rating was 2.77.
3 of them were rated 4 or higher.
8 of the women who said they'd play in the advanced league next year said they would play friday co-ed instead if it was offered.
Their average rating was 3.31.
4 of them were rated 4 or higher.

*Open refers to a league where anyone can sign up and play. Most club men's leagues are actually open so women may play if they wish. In an open league teams are not required to match gender ratios.
